The Masjid opens for <strong>Fajr Salah<\/strong> in the early morning and remains open until after <strong>Isha Salah<\/strong> in the evening. During the <strong>winter months<\/strong>, the Masjid closes slightly earlier, right after the <strong>Islamic classes<\/strong> held after Isha prayer.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the regular prayers, the <strong>Imam<\/strong> at Masjid Ahlis Sunnah frequently delivers <strong>short talks<\/strong> after certain prayers. The weekly sermon (Khutbah) generally focuses on the teachings of the Qur\u2019an and authentic Hadith, as understood and practiced by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his companions, and the scholars of Islam. These sources form the foundation of the sermon, providing guidance and reflection for the congregation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salatul-Jumu\u2018ah: The Friday Congregational Prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Salatul-Jumu\u2018ah, or Friday Prayer, is offered in congregation and replaces the regular Thuhr Prayer on Fridays. Following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Muslims are encouraged to take a ritual bath, wear their best clean clothes, apply perfume, and gather at the mosque for Jumu\u2019ah Prayer. The Qur\u2019an and Hadith emphasize the great blessings of Jumu\u2019ah, noting that those who spend their Friday in the remembrance of Allah and in prayer receive abundant rewards from the Almighty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Etiquette and Guidelines for Jumu\u2019ah Prayer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>People who arrive at the Masjid while the sermon is already in progress should not attempt to push their way to the front by stepping over others. Instead, they may offer two Rak\u2018ah of Sunnat Prayer quietly during the sermon, if they wish.<\/p>\n<p>If someone arrives late and joins the congregation during the final sitting (Qa\u2018dah), they should wait until the Imam completes the prayer, and then finish their prayer individually. All men are required to participate, while women may join if they wish. This prayer is a final act of devotion from the family and community, asking Allah for forgiveness for the deceased.<\/p>\n<p>The funeral service is led by an Imam (Islamic leader) and includes readings from the Qur\u2019an. If the deceased is female, the Imam stands facing the middle part of the body. The congregation stands in rows behind the Imam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.Structure of the Prayer:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>The funeral prayer consists of standing only, without the usual bows (Ruku) or prostration (Sujood). The funeral prayer consists of nine steps.<\/p>\n<p>(1)<span>\u00a0<\/span><span>Say\u00a0<\/span><strong>first\u00a0<\/strong><span>Takbeer (\u2018Allahu Akbar\u2019) and raise both hands up to your earlobes and then place your right hand over your left hand<\/span><\/p>\n<p>(2)<span>\u00a0<\/span><span>Seek refuge from the Shaytan (devil)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(3) Recite Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a short surah or part of a surah<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(4) Say\u00a0<strong>second\u00a0<\/strong>Takbeer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(5) Recite Dua on Prophet Muhammad (\ufdfa) as one does at the end of the prayer<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(6) Say\u00a0<strong>third\u00a0<\/strong>Takbeer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(7) Make supplication (du\u2019a) for the deceased.
