This is also known as\u00a0<strong>The<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Essay of the Month<\/strong>\u00a0series. In general, the announcement of each essay were given at the beginning of each month for the first semester of the 2020-2021\u00a0school year. Faculty, students, and parents\u00a0were able to consistently reflect on Islamic topics while integrating critical thinking and writing skills. Elementary and High School classes participated in this endeavor.<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/>Here is a\u00a0recap of all of the\u00a0essay topics:<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><strong>September:<\/strong>\u00a0What has Allah blessed you with?<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><strong>October:<\/strong>\u00a0Why should you be respectful to teachers and parents?<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><strong>November:<\/strong>\u00a0What is your favorite part about being a Muslim?<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><strong>December:<\/strong>\u00a0Why is it important to forgive others?<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><strong>January:\u00a0<\/strong>Write an essay about Hajj.<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/><br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/>Inshallah, literacy and writing skills will\u00a0continue to be taught during the remainder of the school year. Moving forward, English teachers will independently pick the content of their assignments based on the needs and interests of their students.
