Welcome to the Early Childhood section of Madrasatu Ahlis Sunnah! Here, we provide a nurturing and engaging environment for our youngest learners. Our early childhood program focuses on fostering a love for learning through play, exploration, and age-appropriate activities. About Our Early Childhood

Grade Levels:

  • Grades 6-8

Academic Programs:

  • -Early Literacy: We focus on building early reading and writing skills, including letter recognition, phonics, and beginning vocabulary through songs, stories, and activities.
  • -Numeracy: Introduce basic math concepts such as counting, shapes, numbers, patterns, and measurement through fun and interactive learning experiences.
  • -Science Exploration: Encourage curiosity about the world through hands-on activities and simple experiments that teach children about nature, animals, plants, and the environment.
  • -Social Studies: Help children understand their community, cultures, and the concept of kindness, sharing, and respect for others.
  • – Arabic: Start with basic Arabic vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple phrases through interactive activities and songs.
  • – Islamic Studies: Teach foundational Islamic values and stories, including the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and simple lessons from the Qur’an and Hadith.
  • – Quran: Begin the process of Quranic learning by introducing children to simple Quranic verses and basic memorization techniques, focusing on the beauty of recitation.
  • – Physical Education: Promote motor skill development and healthy habits through physical activities, games, and exercises that engage children in movement.
  • – Health Education: Introduce basic concepts of hygiene, nutrition, and personal care, helping children understand the importance of maintaining good health and well-being.

Islamic Education Focus:

Our Early Childhood Program integrates Islamic teachings into all areas of learning. Through stories from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and lessons from the Qur’an, we aim to instill in young children a sense of kindness, respect, and responsibility, fostering their spiritual development alongside their academic growth.

Admissions Information

Are you interested in joining our middle school? Here’s how to apply:

Application Process: Click on the link below labeled ‘Register Now.’ Afterwards, please submit the following to the main office:

  • New student application form
  • Copy of birth certificate

If your child is accepted and seats are available, you will be notified and required to submit the following within two weeks of notification.

  • Registration Packet
  • Complete immunization record
  • Annual physical report (Please use the Universal Child Health Record Form provided in this packet)

Eligibility:  Age Requirements for Pre-School, Pre-K, KG

  • For admission to Pre-School, your child must be 2 and a half years old by October 31, 2020, and “potty-trained”
  • For admission to Pre-Kindergarten, your child must be 4 years old by October 1, 2020.
  • For admission to KG, your child must 5 years old by Octobers 31, 2020

Student Life

In our Early Childhood Program, we prioritize creating a safe and nurturing space for children to feel confident, valued, and supported as they begin their educational journey. Our students enjoy a variety of activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions.

 

  • Creative Arts: Children have the opportunity to express themselves through painting, drawing, music, and movement, helping them develop fine motor skills and creativity.
  • Storytime & Reading: Daily story sessions introduce children to the world of books, encouraging them to develop a love for reading and listening, while fostering language development.
  • Classroom Community: Our classrooms are designed to be welcoming and supportive, with a focus on building a sense of belonging and community among the children.

Parent Resources

We believe in strong communication between the school and our families. Parents can easily stay updated on their child’s academic progress and school events through:

  • Weekly Newsletters: Sent every Friday with updates on school activities and announcements.
  • Parent Portal (Gradelink): Access grades, homework assignments, and school notices.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress and developmental milestones.
  • Parent Involvement: Opportunities for parents to participate in classroom activities, field trips, and school events.
  • School Policies: Access important guidelines about attendance, behavior expectations, and health and safety.
Important Information:

Any policy that the school adopts, anytime thereafter, will be considered accepted after ten business days or when amendments are provided to parents/guardians. Please post any objections before the end of the ten days. Should parents/guardians choose not to accept the policy or object to the amendments for any reason, Madarasatu Ahlis Sunnah reserves the right to prohibit the student from attending the school until the parent/guardian withdraws the student or accepts the school policy in writing.
